Galeocerdo cuvier (Tiger Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family requiem sharks. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are native to Pacific Ocean, Ethiopia, Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Asia, Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), The Neotropics, and The Nearctic. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 750 cm. Reproduction is iteroparous and ovoviviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming and carcharhiniform to move around.
