They are native to Denmark, Iceland, Mauritania, Germany, Pacific Ocean, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Morocco, Spain, Western Sahara, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Atlantic Ocean, and Norway. They are regenerators. Individuals can grow to 73 mm. They rely on drag powered swimming to move around.
