Carcinus maenas (Common Shore Crab) is a species of decapods in the family Carcinidae. It is native to British Isles, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Belgium, Morocco, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. It is a regenerator. Common Shore Crab is a carnivore. Individuals can grow to 73 mm.
