It is native to British Isles, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, Mauritania, Western Sahara, Belgium, Morocco, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. It is a regenerator. Common Shore Crab is a carnivore. Individuals can grow to 73 mm.
