Nephropsis rosea, sometimes called the rosy lobsterette or two-toned lobsterette,[2] is a species of lobster.
It is found in the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, and as far north in the western Atlantic Ocean as Bermuda, and as far south as Guiana.[3] It mostly lives at depths of 500–800 metres (1,600–2,600 ft), but has been observed between 420 and 1,280 metres (1,380 and 4,200 ft).[3]
N. rosea reaches a carapace length of 1–6 centimetres (0.39–2.36 in), or a total length of 2–13 centimetres (0.79–5.12 in).[3]

Nephropsis rosea Bate, 1888 è un crostaceo decapode appartenente alla famiglia Nephropidae proveniente dall'oceano Atlantico[2].
Rispetto ad altri crostacei della famiglia Nephropidae è di dimensioni abbastanza piccole[3]: il corpo raggiunge una lunghezza massima di 13 cm, di cui 6 di carapace[4][5]. La colorazione varia dall'arancione al rosso[3].
Proviene dall'oceano Atlantico, in particolare dal golfo del Messico[2]. Vive in zone con fondali molli, sabbiosi o fangosi, fino a una profondità di 1.260 m, anche se di solito non scende oltre gli 800[1].
Questa specie viene classificata come "a rischio minimo" (LC) dalla lista rossa IUCN perché è comune e non sembra essere minacciata da particolari pericoli[1]. Potrebbe però diventare una specie di interesse commerciale[4].
