This male Hooded Oriole flew from branch to branch in a large Silver Maple in Sedona, [Arizona]. He sang this note over and over.

A more agitated response to my presence in my own backyard [Clarkdale, Arizona] from a male Hooded Oriole in April, 1998. He wanted to come down out of the Mulberry and feed at my hummer feeders, but didn't feel comfortable with me there.

Hooded Orioles (Icterus cucullatus) are one of the mimics of the Oriole world. Thier song consists of rapidly-sung short phrases which often include mimicry. In this sample listen for snippets of Gila Woodpecker, Western Kingbird, House Finch, Phainopepla, Verdin, American Kestrel and Northern Rough-winged Swallow.
