Clangula hyemalis (Long Tailed Duck) is a species of birds in the family Anatidae. It is listed as vulnerable by IUCN. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Long Tailed Duck is found in the Nearctic, the Indo-Malayan Realm, and the Palearctic. It is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 1130 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Long Tailed Duck has parental care (only female provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
