Orbicella franksi (Boulder Star Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. It is listed as vulnerable by IUCN. Boulder Star Coral form shallow marine sediments. It is a photosymbiotroph. It has alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; it is a broadcast spawner and a hermaphrodite. Boulder Star Coral is a sessile animal.
