Elliptio ahenea is a species of mussels in the family unionid freshwater mussels. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN. They are associated with freshwater habitat. Dead Elliptio ahenea form shallow marine sediments. Individuals can grow to 56 mm. They have sexual reproduction.
