They are native to Distrito Federal, Maranhao, Alagoas, Cerrado, Espirito Santo, Sergipe, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pantanal, Mato Grosso Do Sul, AmazôNia, ParaíBa, Ceará, Paraná, SãO Paulo, Mata Atlântica, GoiáS, Pará, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Piauí, and Bahia. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 7 m.
