Limnophila is a genus of limoniid crane flies in the family Limoniidae. There are at least 280 described species in Limnophila.^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]

Members of the family Limoniidae were previously in a subfamily of Tipulidae which was promoted to family rank.^[4]^[5]^[2]^[3]^[6]
