Symphyotrichum patens (Late Purple Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and The Americas. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Nimble Ceratina, Lasioglossum quebecense, Say's Cuckoo-leaf-cutter, and Common Eastern Bumblebee.
