Symphyotrichum foliaceum (Alpine Leafybract Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Alaska, and The Americas. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Zerene Fritillary, Woodland Skipper, Speyeria atlantis sorocko, and Argynnis egleis. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
