Aglyptodactylus securifer est une espèce d'amphibiens de la famille des Mantellidae.
Cette espèce est endémique de Madagascar. Elle se rencontre jusqu'à 300 m d'altitude dans l'Ouest et le Nord de l'île et, notamment, la forêt de Kirindy, à ne pas confondre avec le parc national de Kirindy Mitea, la péninsule Sahamalaza, la réserve naturelle intégrale du Tsingy de Bemaraha, la réserve spéciale de la Forêt d'Ambre. Elle vit aussi bien dans la forêt tropicale humide que dans la forêt tropicale sèche. On la trouve dans les forêts dégradées, mais jamais en dehors de la forêt[1].
Son nom d'espèce, du latin, securis, « hache », et du suffixe -fer, « transporter », lui a été donné en référence à la forme de son pré-hallux, le pré-hallux est un orteil ou un rudiment d'orteil supplémentaire[2].

Aglyptodactylus securifer is een kikker uit de familie gouden kikkers (Mantellidae). De soort werd voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Frank Glaw, Miguel Vences en Wolfgang Böhme in 1998. De soort behoort tot het geslacht Aglyptodactylus.[2]
De kikker komt voor in Afrika en is endemisch in Madagaskar.[3] De soort komt voor in het westen en oosten van het eiland en leeft op een hoogte tot ongeveer 300 meter boven zeeniveau. De soort komt voor in de droge loofbossen van Madagaskar, in het bijzonder in het Kirindy Forest. Ook is de soort te vinden op het schiereiland Sahamalaza en in het natuurreservaat Tsingy de Bemaraha.

Staw skokowy górny sięga okolicy pomiędzy czubkiem pyska i nozdrzem. Palce tylnych łap łączy błona pławna, czego nie stwierdza się w przypadku przednich[3].
Gładka skóra grzbietowej powierzchni ciała zabarwiona jest na szarobrązowo do czerwonobrązowego, jednak u samców przystępujących do rozrodu przybiera ona kolor żółtawy. Podobnie jak 2 wymienione powyżej gatunki tego samego rodzaju, A. securifer posiada charakterystyczne czarne plamy po obu stronach pyska i mniejsze w okolicy pachwinowej[3].
