Marine shelled amoeba, about 70 µm long. Shell composed of fine particles, ovate, but with truncated narrow end occupied by the single aperture from which arise fine pseudopodia which may branch and fuse.

Test ovate, 32 µm to 72 µmin length; wall of organic matter with embedded quartz grains and other foreign matter; aperture rounded; cytoplasm filling test, pseudopodia granular and reticulose.
