Common Name: Double-Rimmed Saucer Lichen
Rough whitish crustose lichen with large thick-rimmed pinkish apothecia on conifer bark.
Conifer bark and wood, particularly Pseudotsuga menziesii.
O. subpallescens is very similar but lacks the inner excipular ring, and has a continuous algal layer below the apothecium.
