Myrcia splendens (Punchberry) is a species of tree in the family myrtles. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN. They are native to Cerrado, Caatinga, The Neotropics, Puerto Rico, Mata Atlântica, Pantanal, and AmazôNia. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Megachile pilidens, Amegilla, Ceratina cucurbitina, and Megachile leachella. Individuals can grow to 30 m.
