They are native to Caatinga, Pampa, Tocantins, RondôNia, Pantanal, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, SãO Paulo, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Mata Atlântica, Roraima, Amazônia, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Norte, Alagoas, GoiáS, Rio De Janeiro, Maranhao, Pará, Sergipe, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso, Piauí, Amapá, Paraná, Cerrado, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, ParaíBa, Distrito Federal, Pernambuco, and Bahia. They have simple, broad leaves.
