Lepus americanus (Snowshoe Hare) is a species of mammals in the family Leporidae. They are native to The Nearctic and United States. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 96 months and can grow to 424.49 mm. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running and saltation to move around.
