The Tanzanian shrew (Crocidura tansaniana) is a species of mammal in the family Soricidae. It is endemic to Tanzania. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Crocidura tansaniana is een spitsmuis uit het geslacht Crocidura die voorkomt in het Usambara-gebergte van Tanzania. De soort behoort tot de Crocidura monax-groep, samen met zo'n twaalf andere Afrikaanse soorten. Het is een grote, robuuste soort. De kop-romplengte van het holotype bedraagt 109 mm, de staartlengte 65 mm, de achtervoetlengte 17 mm, de oorlengte 13 mm en het gewicht 15 g.

Crocidura tansaniana^[2][3] är en däggdjursart som beskrevs av Rainer Hutterer 1986. Crocidura tansaniana ingår i släktet Crocidura och familjen näbbmöss.^[4][5] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som starkt hotad.^[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.^[4]

Arten förekommer i bergstrakter i nordöstra Tanzania och kanske i angränsande områden av Kenya. Utbredningsområdet ligger 1500 till 1800 meter över havet. Crocidura tansaniana vistas i regnskogar. Den kan i viss mån anpassa sig till skogsbruk.^[1]
