Magnolia virginiana (Sweetbay Magnolia) is a species of tree in the family Magnoliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, United States, Florida, Eastern North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Oxycopis thoracica, Common Eastern Bumble Bee, and Honeybees. Individuals can grow to 60 feet.
