Phyllanthus niruri (Gale Of The Wind) is a species of annual herb in the family Phyllanthaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to China, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amazônia, Caatinga, Maranhao, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pernambuco, US Minor Outlying Islands, Amapá, Ceará, Bahia, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Santa Catarina, Alagoas, Paraná, Roraima, Puerto Rico, RondôNia, ParaíBa, The Contiguous United States, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Distrito Federal, Rio De Janeiro, GoiáS, Mato Grosso Do Sul, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Tocantins. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 0.71 m.
