Sideroxylon tenax (Tough Bully) is a species of shrub in the family Sapotaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Florida, Eastern North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Cellophane bees and Augochloropsis metallica. Individuals can grow to 9.1 m.
