They are native to Middle America, United States, Atlantic And Gulf Coastal Plain (Agcp), Eastern North America, The Contiguous United States, and Florida. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Polistes bellicosus, Agapostemon splendens, Common Eastern Bumble Bee, and Great Golden Digger Wasp. Individuals can grow to 90 feet.
