Carex umbellata (Parasol Sedge) is a species of perennial herb in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Greenland, The Contiguous United States, Canada, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.15 m.
