Description

Shrub or multi-stemmed small tree. Bark grey to brown; young branches covered in soft hairs. Leaves elliptic to ovate-oblong, shiny dark green, paler below, more or less hairy, particularly on the midrib below, slightly lobed and asymmetric at the base; hair tufted domatia present. Flowers in dense axillary heads at the upper pair of leaves; corolla white with a long and slender tube, c. 6 cm; lobes short, recurved; style long exserted. Fruit ovoid, c. 3.5 cmm long, orange-yellow, crowned with the remains of the calyx.
