Bulb is ovoid. The leaves are shorter than the inflorescence, filiform or semi-cylindrical, sheathing the lower 1/2 to 1/3 of the stem. The spathe is 2-valved, persistent, the valves wide at the base, tapering gradually into long slender appendages, as long as or longer than the umbel. The umbel is many-flowered. The pedicels filiform. The perianth is white or cream, oblong or oblong-lanceolate. Anthers are wellexserted, yellow; style exserted. The capsule is depressed-subglobose.
