General Description

Member of the coxendix group (subgenus Odontium). Black, upper surface rather shiny, bronze or aeneous; 1st antennal segment and base of 2nd-4th and at least tibiae rufous. Prothorax broad and markedly cordiform; latero-basal carinula rudimentary. Elytral striae with rather strong and dense, slightly transverse punctures; intervals moderately convex. Length 4.5 to 6.7 mm.
