Zeanillus

Zeanillus is a genus of ground beetles in the family Carabidae. There are about 10 described species in Zeanillus, found in New Zealand.^[1][2]

Zeanillus is een geslacht van kevers uit de familie van de loopkevers (Carabidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van het geslacht is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1937 door Jeannel.

Taksonomia

Rodzaj został opisany w 1937 roku przez René Jeannela. Gatunkiem typowym został Anillus phyllobius Broun, 1993^[1].

Opis

Ciało płaskie. Oczu brak. Grzbietowa część ciała w większości owłosiona. Pokrywy bez podłużnej, skośnej bruzdy (sulcus) i piłkowania ramion. Czułki krótkie i paciorkowate^[2].

Występowanie

Wszystkie gatunki są endemitami Nowej Zelandii^[1].
