Lepiota subgrisea Murrill, Mycologia 3: 84. 1911
Pileus small, convex to expanded, slightly umbonate, gregarious, 1-1.5 cm. broad; surface avellaneous, adorned with imbricate scales arranged in a somewhat radiate manner from the glabrous, fuliginous umbo; lamellae free, white, of medium breadth and distance; spores ellipsoid, smooth, hyaline, uninucleate, apiculate, 7X3.5-4 m", stipe white, glabrous, slightlytapering upward, 1.5 cm. long, 1-2 mm. thick; annulus slight, evanescent.
Type locality : Port Antonio, Jamaica. Habitat: In low ground near the coast. Distribution: Jamaica.
