Claudopus avellaneus Murrill, sp. nov
Pileus thin, very eccentric, convex, depressed behind, gregarious, 1 cm. broad; siurface smooth, finely tomentose, pale-avellaneous, margin very thin, concolorous, inflexed; lamellae adnate, broad, distant, white to salmon-colored, entire and concolorous on the edges; spores ovoid, irregular, angular, apiculate, uniguttulate, rose-colored, 8-10 X 5-6 ju; stipe short, much enlarged above, smooth, grayish, densely tomentose, about 5 mm. long, 1-2 mm. thick.
Type collected on dead wood at Glen Brook, Oregon, November 7, 1911, W. A, Murrill 779
(herb. N. Y. Bot. Gard.).
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
