A shrub, the twigs, petioles, rachis and inflorescence densely tomentose. Stipules small, caducous; leaflets 3-5 pairs, obovate to ovate-oblong, 1-2.5 cm. long, obtuse or rounded at apex, velvety pubescent above, white-tomentose beneath; racemes densely several-flowered; pedicels slender, 1-2.5 cm. long, pubescent; sepals pubescent, unequal, 6-10 mm. long; petals unequal, 8-16 mm. long; legume broadly linear, straight, S-IO cm. long, S12 mm. broad, rounded or acute at apex, short-stipitate, pubescent or hirsute.
Type locality: Oaxaca. Distribution: Oaxaca and Puebla.
