Plants caulescent, 9-21 dm. high, the stems from a cluster of old leaf-sheaths, glabrous; leaves obovate in general outline, excluding the petioles about 20 cm. long, quinate, biquinate, or biternate, then 1-2-pinnate, the ultimate divisions remote, linear, acute, 10-30 mm. long, 1-4 mm. broad; petioles 14—15 cm. long, sheathing below; cauline leaves similar or with a wholly sheathing petiole; peduncles exceeding the leaves; involucel of several linear, acuminate, subscarious bractlets, about equaling the flowers, deciduous in the mature plant; rays 13-25, spreading, 3-1 1 cm. long, unequal; pedicels 6-17 mm. long, the umbellets many-flowered; fruit linear-oblong, 15-32 mm. long, 7-8 mm. broad, the wings narrower than the body; oil-tubes 1, rarely 3 or 4, in the intervals, 2 on the commissure.

Lomatium suksdorfii (Suksdorf's desertparsley) is a perennial herb of the family Apiaceae that grows in Washington and Oregon, United States.
It is 50–200 cm tall, glabrous, caulescent, and has a taproot. It flowers from late March to May, with compound umbels of yellow flowers, each umbellule enclosed by thin bracts. The leaves have long petioles and are dissected into long, thin blades.
