Circumscription: Small to medium-sized amoebae with branching bodies from which extend fine pseudopodia with extrusomes and which may branch and anastomose. Cytoplasmic movements not strongly noticeable. Heterotrophic. Two short flagella. Flagellated zoospores may be produced. Ultrastructural identity: Mitochondria with flat cristae. Perinuclear dictyosomes. With two short flagella, basal bodies parallel, anchorage not well characterized. With concentric extrusomes. Microtubules occur in the pseudopodia. Synapomorphy: None defined.
