Ischnocampa ignava Dognin
Ischnocampa ignava Dognin, 1912a, p. 129.
Forewing 26.5 mm. Front of head greyish brown, vertex greyish yellow. Thorax and wings greyish yellow, the wings with greyish brown markings. Hindwing translucent white; outer margin pale yellow; cell markings greyish brown. Abdomen greyish brown dorsally, light yellow laterally, with black lateral spots on each segment; ventral surface light yellow, with black longitudinal stripe extending along segments 2 and 3 on each side.
Described from a single female from Tochesito, Quindin, Colombia. Other than the lectotype there are no specimens from the type-locality in the USNM collection.
Holotype ♀: “Dognin Collection; Type No. 30382 U.S.N.M.; Tochesito, Quindiu [sic], Colombie, 3,000 mètres; ♀ of Ischnoc. celer Schs.?; 9.09 Tochesito, Quindiu, 3,000 m.; Ischnocampa ignava Dogn. type ♀, Hmpn. 5/1/12; Holotype ♀ Ischnocampa ignava Dognin A.W. 1967; Arctiidae genitalia slide No. AW584.”
