Amerila leucoptera Hampson 1901

Amerila leucoptera is a species of moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It was described by George Hampson in 1901. It is found in Benin, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.^[1]

Amerila leucoptera is een vlinder uit de familie spinneruilen (Erebidae), onderfamilie beervlinders (Arctiinae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1901 door Hampson.

Deze nachtvlinder komt voor in tropisch Afrika.
