Zygaena orana is a species of moth in the family Zygaenidae. It is found on Sardinia[1] and in North Africa, including Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.[2]
The larvae feed on Lotus creticus[3] and Lotus cytisoides. Last instar larvae are pea-green with lateral rows of black spots and yellow blotches forming a well-marked yellow stripe. Pupation takes place in a dark brown and green pupa.[4]

Zygaena orana Duponchel, 1835 è un lepidottero eteroneuro appartenente alla famiglia Zygaenidae, falena diurna diffusa nel bacino del Mediterraneo, in Nordafrica, Algeria, Tunisia e Marocco, e in Europa, in Italia, in Sardegna e nelle Alpi.
Allo stato larvale si nutre di Lotus creticus[1] e Lotus cytisoides, piante erbacee della famiglia delle Leguminose. Le larve dell'ultimo stadio sono color verde pisello con file laterali di macchie nere e macchie gialle che formano una striscia gialla ben marcata, successivamente si evolve in una pupa marrone scuro e verde.[2]

Zygaena orana is een vlinder uit de familie bloeddrupjes (Zygaenidae). De wetenschappelijke naam is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1835 door Duponchel.
