Pileus firm, convex or nearly plane, rarely centrally depressed, 0.5-1.5 cm. broad; surface moist in wet weather, glabrous, dull-saffron, subochraceous, or reddish-yellow; context yellowish when dry; lamellae narrow, close, tapering outwardly, rounded behind, yellow; spores minute, ellipsoid, 3-4 fx long ; stipe slender, glabrous, slightly tomentose at the base, equal or tapering downward, stuffed or hollow, concolorous above, 2.5 cm. long, 2-4 mm. thick.
Type locality: North Klba, New York. Habitat: Ground under spruce and balsam trees. Distribution: New York, Vermont, and Maine.
