Favites halicora is a species of coral belonging to the family Merulinidae. The species was first described in 1834 by Christian Gottfried Ehrenberg as Astraea halicora.
The species is found in Indian and Pacific Ocean.

Colonies are massive, either rounded or hillocky. Corallites have very thick walls and tend to become subplocoid. Calices average 10 mm in diameter. Budding is both intra- and extratentacular. Paliform lobes may be developed. Colour: Abundance (Veron, 1986).
