Zygaena aurata is a species of moth in the family Zygaenidae.[2] It is found in the Atlas mountains of Morocco. In Seitz it is described Z. aurata as a form (now species) of favonia with glossy brass-yellow ground-colour: discovered in Julv in the Moroccan Atlas.[3]

Zygaena aurata is een vlinder uit de familie van de bloeddrupjes (Zygaenidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1905 door Blachier.
