Procambarus hayi er en art av ferskvannskreps innenfor den artsrike slekten Procambarus, og den tilhører underslekten Ortmannicus som har en ganske stor utbredelse nord-sør i USA fra omtrent de store sjøene og Appalachene gjennom Midtvesten ned mot Mexico.
Arten hører videre under familien Cambaridae (orden Reptantia) blant tifotkrepsene. Procambarus hayi er en av anslagsvis 160 arter i slekten Procambarus.
