Brephidium is a genus of butterflies in the family Lycaenidae.[1] They are known commonly as pygmy blues. The species of this genus have a disjunct distribution. Two of the three species are found in the Americas while the third is found in Africa.

Brephidium isophthalma is een vlinder uit de familie van de Lycaenidae.[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1862 door Herrich-Schäffer.
