General Description

Colonies. On Czapek's agar, growing restrictedly, attaining about 2.5 cm diam. after 7 days at 25°C, thin, margin white, central areas Green-Yellow; exudates lacking; reverse similar to the colony colour; on Czapek's agar + 50% sucrose, growing rapidly attaining about 7 cm diameter, colony surface floccose, margin white, central areas green-yellow; reverse similar to the colony colour. Conidiophores. Abundant, colourless to pale yellow green, up to 300 μm long 12 μm wide below the vesicle; vesicles globose to subglobose, 15-26 μm. Conidiogenous cells. 4.6-6.8 × 2.3-3.4 μm. Conidia. Subglobose to barrel-shaped with one end flattened, finely spinulose under light microscope and lobate-reticulate with the SEM, 3.4-4.6 μm in long axis. Ascomata. Abundant, bright yellow, globose to subglobose, up to 115 μm diam. Asci. Usually 10-12 μm. Ascospores. Lenticular with a deep equatorial furrow and two prominent irregular ridges, convex walls roughened, 3.5-5.0 × 3.3-4.2 μm.
