Phausina is a genus of Asian jumping spiders that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1902.[2]
Male P. leucopogon have a black carapace, red hairs surrounding a broad band of yellow hairs on the head, and reddish hairs surrounding a narrow median stripe of whitish hairs on the thorax with a wavy whitish stripe on the side. The abdomen is black-ish with red pubescence and a median white and yellow band. The first two pairs of legs are dark, the others yellowish with rings. They are 5 millimetres (0.20 in) long[3]
As of August 2019 it contains four species, found only in Asia:[1]

La più studiata è la specie giavanese P. leucopogon, i cui maschi non superano i 5 millimetri di lunghezza. Il cefalotorace è di colore nero ricoperto di peli rossi, eccettuata la pars cephalica che ha una larga fascia di peli giallognoli. Ai lati è percorso da una striscia ondulata biancastra. L'opistosoma è allungato, nerastro, con la zona dei genitali rossastra e la fascia mediana di colore giallo o bianco. Le prime due paia di zampe sono scure, le altre giallastre e provviste di annulazioni[1]
Delle quattro specie oggi note di questo genere, ben tre sono endemiche dello Sri Lanka e una dell'isola di Giava[2].
