W Polsce występują 4 gatunki: Peniophorella clavigera, Peniophorella guttulifera, Peniophorella pallida, Peniophorella praetermissa. W. Wojewoda nadał im nazwę strzępkoskórka, jest ona jednak niespójna z nazwą naukową, gdyż gatunki te według Index Fungorum nie należą juz do rodzaju Hyphoderma (strzępkoskórka)[3].
