Pileus convex or nearly plane, sometimes shghtly depressed, 2.5-7 cm. broad; surface at first hairytomentose, then nearly glabrous, pale-yellow or buff, becoming whitish, margin incurved: lamellae crowded, adnate or decurrent, whitish or pale-yellow: spores subglobose, 4-5 ii: stipe nearly equal, stuffed or hollow, sometimes eccentric, 2.5-5 cm. long, 6-10 mm. thick.
Type locality: Brewerton, New York.
Habitat: In woods.
Distribution: New York and Massachusetts.
