Common facts for the householder ( anglais )

fourni par EOL authors

Commonly known as the "red stink bug", Coccophabes frontifer was identified by Walker in 1883 and is known in the northern mid-west of the United States.

It is a plant sucker and the adults excrete a strong smell when threatened or crushed. The nymphs are small and hatch from golden eggs often found on the underside of leaves or on windowsills that are open to gardens.

The species has been seen in Brisbane Australia in 2013. Readers are encouraged to provide information about earlier sightings and other locations.
