Much branched scandent shrub; branches strigillose or ascending-hispidulous, subglabrate; leaves oval, 7-18 mm. long, 5-13 mm. wide, emarginate at the rounded apex, cuneate to cuneate-rounded at base, chartaceous or pergamentaceous, above rather sparsely strigillose, with 1-3 pairs of obscure lateral veins, beneath pale-green or glaucescent, strigillose and with very obscure veins; petioles strigillose or ascending-hispidulous, 1-1.5 mm. long; peduncles 5-10 mm. long; racemes loose, the axis 1.5 dm. long or less; bracts deciduous or subpersistent, 1.5-2.5 mm. long; pedicels strigillose, 4-7 mm. long; wings rosy, drying whitish, the corolla yellow; sepals orbicular-ovate, obtuse, ciliate, sparsely strigillose, 2.2-3.8 mm. long; wings orbicular or oblate-orbicular, 8.2-9.2 mm. long, 7.5-9.5 mm. wide, emarginate, ciliate except on the very short claw, about 10-nerved; keel glabrous, 7.5-8 mm. long; samara olivaceous, strigillose, 3-4.2 cm. long; fruiting cell plump, strongly reticulate, narrowly margined above, 6.5-8 mm. long; wing obliquely obovate or oblong-obovate, at base as broad as or broader than the fruiting cell, 2.5-3.2 cm. long, 5-6 mm. wide at base, 9-13 mm. wide near middle.
Type locality: Jamaica.
Distribution: Cuba, Santo Domingo, Porto Rico, and Vieques Island; reported from Jamaica.
