Open in ZoomViewer. Description: English: This is a scan of a herbarium specimen of Melaleuca howeana (Myrtaceae), endemic to Lord Howe Island. Collection info is: "Game 69/274d. Shrub on Rabbit Island, in the lagoon of Lord Howe Island. August/September 1969". A duplicate is at Kew and is cited in the Flora of Australia Vol. 49 p. 210 as from another offshore islet, Roach Island, but in fact the specimen was from Rabbit Island.
