Pomphidea swartziana Miers, Apocyn. S. Am. 19. 1878 Leaves simple (or unifoliolate?), oblong-ovate, 7-8.5 cm. long, 3.2-3.8 cm. broad, acuminate at the apex, obtusish at the base, yellowish-green above, yellowish-ferruginous beneath, chartaceous, glabrous, minutely pellucid-glandular ; petiole short, 2 mm. long ; inflorescence short, few-flowered ; pedicels short, 3 mm. long ; sepals unequal, linear-oblong to elliptic, erect, pilose and glandular on the outside, the two outer 5 mm. long, 2 mm. broad, the three inner 3 mm. long, 1 mm. broad ; corolla-tube 5 mm. long, 2 mm. broad, the lobes fleshy, suberect, oblong, elliptic to oblong-ovate, 5 mm. long, 1.5 mm. broad, pellucid-glandular ; filaments glandular ; lobes of the disk 0.5 mm. long ; ovary oblong, 1.5 mm. long ; style 1.5 mm. long.
