Leigh Woods Whitebeam - Sorbus leighensisA new species which has been known since the 1980s, but whose differences from the Grey-leaved Whitebeam has only recently been clarified using DNA. It is common at Leigh Woods on the Somerset side of the Avon Gorge, where about 100 trees are known.More information available from the Museum website
