Aporocactus martianus ist eine Pflanzenart aus der Gattung Aporocactus in der Familie der Kakteengewächse (Cactaceae). Das Artepitheton ehrt den deutschen Botaniker Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius.
Aporocactus martianus wächst kriechend, gelegentlich lithophytisch mit Luftwurzeln bildend. Die einzelnen Triebe werden bis zu 1,5 Meter lang und bis zu 2,5 Zentimeter dick. Die 8 bis 10 warzenförmigen Rippen werden von 3 bis 4 braunen Mitteldornen gezäunt. Die 6 bis 10 Randdornen sind hellgelblich und nur 5 bis 7 Millimeter groß. Hell rote Tag-Blüten mit einer Größe von 10 bis 12 Zentimeter im Durchmesser und einer Länge von 5 bis 7 Zentimeter wechseln sich den ganzen Sommer über ab. Die grünen, runden Früchte werden bis zu 2 Zentimeter groß.
Aporocactus martianus ist im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Oaxaca verbreitet.
Die Erstbeschreibung als Cereus martianus erfolgte 1832 durch Joseph Gerhard Zuccarini.[1] Nathaniel Lord Britton und Joseph Nelson Rose stellten die Art 1923 in die Gattung Aporocactus.[2] Weitere nomenklatorische Synonyme sind Eriocereus martianus (Zucc.) Riccob. (1909) und Disocactus martianus (Zucc.) Barthlott (1991)[3].
In der Roten Liste gefährdeter Arten der IUCN wird die Art als „Near Threatened (NT)“, d. h. als gering gefährdet geführt.[4]

Disocactus martianus grows creeping, occasionally forming lithophytic with aerial roots. It is a species of fleshy, cylindrical suspended or creeping cactus with stems up to 1.5 meters long and up to 2.5 centimeters thick, sometimes with aerial roots, with 8 to 10 slightly wart-shaped ribs; 3 or 4 central pale brown spines up to 12 mm long and 6 to 20 radial spines are light yellowish and only 5 to 7 millimeters long. The bright red flowers are diurnal and produced in summer, 10 to 12 centimeters in diameter and a length of 5 to 7 centimeters. The flowers stay open for a couple of days. They are followed by globose fruits of green color and 2 cm in diameter. It is viviparous.[2]

It was first described as Cereus martianus in 1837 by Ludwig Georg Karl Pfeiffer.[3] Wilhelm Barthlott moved the species to Disocactus in 1991[4] The following species and varieties are synonyms:

Es una especie de cactus carnoso, cilíndrico en suspensión o rastrero con los tallos de hasta 1,5 m, en ocasiones con raíces aéreas, con 8 a 10 costillas ligeramente tuberculadas; 3 o 4 espinas de color marrón pálido centrales de hasta 12 mm de largo y 6 a 20 radiales.
